That looks nice, it kinda looks like the TK spoiler. Will holes needed to be drilled to put this on?

mureshan 03-12-2010 11:43 AM

I think it is too big and agressive for the G...
I think it is gonna be like TK or IMPUL!

J2S2M 03-12-2010 11:59 AM

It does a lil too bulky. Still don't know if I should go w/ OEM spoiler or wait for this....
Also, when will you guys bring the roof spoiler for us?! I WANT!!!

kool_yaar 03-12-2010 12:01 PM

looks great to me, will look better when painted as it will blend in better and not look that big but will it also have a camera hole for the tech package cars?
I would rock it but ill have to talk to my autobody guy first and see what he can do about the holes of the stock spoiler though if i want to go for this....

J2S2M 03-12-2010 12:52 PM

^ shouldn't the holes OEM spoiler be covered by the new spoiler once it is installed?

B L U E S L A T E 03-12-2010 01:26 PM

Similar to TK spoiler, but it is slightly more angled than it. Car needs to be pretty aggressive to pull it off IMO.

mureshan 03-12-2010 01:37 PM

Autokits X is twice wider than TK, thats why it looks strange for me on the sedan....

TK one

B L U E S L A T E 03-12-2010 01:49 PM

Yes, it is definitely wider and has higher angled than the TK one.

i doubt it, the top screw holes form the OEM are further up the trunk than the top most part of this spoiler.

BTW i like it being that big cause it looks kinda like the BMW Mseries spoiler...

its not twice wider, actual it has the same size but alil bit more higher.

We painted and work on different spoilers for sedans, OEM, TK and Impul and this one is not too different than the others, maybe we need to painted and take new pictures hahaha.. color matched or CF ;)

buy the diffuser and the Spoiler and you will fine :D

AUTOKITS-X 03-12-2010 02:43 PM

thanks for the comments guys, we still working on it to get the final product.

Thanks,

Rizzagt22 03-12-2010 02:46 PM

Too big for a sedan, maybe for a coupe?

Q8y_drifter 03-12-2010 02:55 PM

The style is great but i'd think if it was a hair smaller/less bulky it would be perfect. Maybe if it's painted it might look better?

I'm really interested in this BTW :D

fillup 03-12-2010 02:58 PM

Any idea off a ballpark price?

Would've done it with great pleasure...But my Euro spec bumper sucks.....
If you can make a VIP diffuser for me, it would be great!!!!

And as for the spoiler, I think if you'll make the 100% copy of TK spoiler and make it twice cheaper than TK sells, you'll have success with it!

totally agree looks way to bulky for the sedan even with the diffuser, i think it would look great with a kit but who really has the spare cash for a tk/impul kit just so they can pull off the spoiler.

my suggestion would be trying to tweek the oem spoiler a bit making it slightly diff

Q8y_drifter 03-12-2010 04:23 PM

Personally I'd think if they copied the TK or Impul spoilers it would be great since you can install those whether you have a body kit or not. They really just need to make their own version just a hair less aggressive.

InTgr8r 03-12-2010 06:06 PM

^WHS +1
Also, I'd like it more flush looking along the front edge where it meets the trunk.
It's a little too thick at the edge.

JMO.. :dunno:

Epidel 03-12-2010 07:30 PM

sorry to say but i am not a fan of it

AesonVirus 03-12-2010 07:56 PM

I agree with Ian.
I'm STILL waiting for the perfect spoiler option.
I like the TK the most so far and will end up going that route if someone doesn't make a better option for me soon.

I mean... that would be what I do if I was going to do any more modding... which I'm not.
Really, I mean it this time.

braddahjon 03-12-2010 08:14 PM

Thats what im talkin bout! SIGN ME UP I want an aggresive spoiler

DrGeeMD 03-13-2010 01:18 AM

yeah, it does look pretty big for a sedan and I am not sure many of us can pull this off. I will def. hold off on final opinion until I see it painted so subscribed for the pics. :D

Will it have a camera hole? I am not sure if this was answered.

G35xQX1 03-13-2010 02:00 AM

yeah, the spoiler does seem a bit thick when observed straight on from the back...but the side profile of the spoiler flows well with the lines of the G.

im still waitin' on your front lip tho!

rpm&my_G35 03-13-2010 09:41 AM

To me, it looks to big and bulky. To be fair, I would like to see it painted and installed on a couple colours of sedans (OB or IP).
Jury is still out.

IgorNYC 03-13-2010 10:36 AM

ehhh..to big for my taste

baileyt35 03-13-2010 02:10 PM

I think it would look great if your intentions are to kit your car out and drop it on aftermarket wheels. But if you plan to remain stock it would be a bit much. That being said, I'd buy it!

BocaIvan 03-13-2010 03:55 PM

Not feelin' it at all...

Too big and fat. It doesn't flow with the rear.

Our cars are very tricky in the rear, things either look too aggressive and out of place or like if nothing was done...

mishmosh 03-13-2010 04:30 PM

I think we just need to see the spoiler painted with some whole car body shots. To me it looks fine. I think the original OE spoiler sits higher and looks even more bulky, so this to me is an improvement and covers up the chrome finisher.

I think the market for eyelids and spoilers is pretty limited--people have specific tastes and it is hard to produce a real winner. I think the TK and OE cape spoiler are the best. I think producing an aggressive lip is also going to prove to be a challenge for our cars. It is almost better to have a lip that sits below the bumper and only covers the bottom inch (like the japanese one). In any case, for Autokits-x, I would do a rear side spat/mud flap before anything else.

mureshan 03-17-2010 02:30 PM

Any updates??

kool_yaar 03-17-2010 02:34 PM

^+1 i would like to see some painted pics and hopefully more ppl will start liking it and also the aprox. price.

firozu 03-17-2010 02:35 PM

looks alot like the one they have for the 335i its nice but the angle and sides need to be worked on i am very interested in seeing the final product if its worked on properly and the price is in the neighborhood of 120 ill buy it instantly.

popcornten 03-23-2010 01:31 AM

i'm gonna jump on the bandwagon and say it's a little too big/aggressive - cutting down the size i think would make a huge improvement

kudos for getting working on this though!

docaam 03-24-2010 01:46 AM

I like it from the side angle flows nicely and another thing which I think is as car is white and its not painted total imagination feeling is not there....once painted would be hard to notice these issues

bat6wc 03-24-2010 01:52 AM

guys, its being redesigned and modified as we speak. Alex will post up some pics when the new mold is ready.

_evilMonkey_ 05-18-2010 01:22 PM

update??

AUTOKITS-X 05-18-2010 02:02 PM

spoiler is ready, we just waiting to get it painted

Q8y_drifter 05-18-2010 03:01 PM

Did the design change?

J2S2M 05-18-2010 03:27 PM

^ +1

I just ordered the OEM rear lip spoiler from Riverside. (Still not sure about drilling into the trunk tho). However, there was no update to how long it was going to take w/ this one from AK-X.

sunny G-35 NYC 05-18-2010 04:20 PM

Hey guys would it be possible if I could have it molded on instead of it just being an extra piece?

gundam83 05-19-2010 01:07 PM

Can't wait to see it painted
