My Navi is getting lost... = (
Twice in the past week.. My Navi had no idea where it was!!! One day it was gloomy and cloudy so I just figured it wasn't getting good signal. But the other day it was sunny and I was expecting my Navi to know where it was.
I had to manually set my current location in which I never had to do before. Also, under (I think) Info, Navi, current Location... It says signal not found or something? Is this normal? Anyone have this problem? |
Have you tried looking at INFO>GPS Satellite Info to see how many satellites you have available?
|
have you added any new electronics to your car? any new phones? i had this same problem when i added gauges to my car...the control modules create enough EMI to interfere with the GPS antenna.

slightly OT, but anybody randomly start getting traffic updates even if ur not subbscribed to it?
|
From what I read.. They were promoting it by giving it for free for a bit...
|
^+1, and to run the diagnoses just shut off your audio, then with your car in ON position, Press and Hold the settings button while turning the volume button 40clicks to right and that will take you to the diagnoses screen, do not mess with anything else if you dont know whats going on.

How timely.
Today I drove from Washington, DC to NYC. I switched the area from Mid Atlantic to New England, put in the address and even though I am familiar with NYC, the navi tried to take me to somewhere in Queens and not Manhattan. After further investigation, the term "New York, NY" does not mean New York City to Infiniti. You have to look for "Manhattan NY", how frustrating. I got there by using my sense of direction and familiarity with the "city". |
My navi had me driving in the Pacific Ocean yesterday!!!!
I checked diagnostics, and it appears he Navi Antenna is broken or not working.. Taking it to the dealer this weekend. =) |

Gee, Idk, how about by distance from where I'm starting? Far more often than not, I'm going to be driving somewhere close by, so give me the closest location, rather than one 3 states away. |
Well, so when I left the dealer I didn't have such a good feeling that it was fixed.. Not sure but my Navi is getting lost again... It's been lost for 3 days.
Is anyone else having similar issues with their Nav in Los Angeles? |
