High RPM's, Brake light pops on

Within the last 2-2.1/2 months I've experience the brake light pop on after achieving rpm's around 5-6K and up. It goes off after about 1-2 seconds. I've had my tune for almost a year.

Everything else seems to be fine, so I dont really feel like I should be worried. Does this happen to anyone?

How much life do u still have left on your tires?

Check your brake ads. Most likely they started to get low and the brake fluid gets low. top up the brake fluid and get ready for new pads if they are worn.

They are about due to get replaced around 2/32 left or so.

Thank you sir

yes, this can happen during breaking or acceleration. brake fluid is low and moves away from the sensor in the can.

sounds like brake fluid issue to me...level is probably low and at higher RPM the sensor is not detecting it

I was just going to ask the same question....same thing has happened to me just last night.

Going into the dealer for its 42000KM schedual....get them to check everything.

bmovie Sep 21, 2010 10:41 PM

just came back from the dealer for my 42000km maintenance and they told me that my front brakes were down to 20%.
So I asked them about the brake light symbol flashing on for a few seconds at hight RPM and he the same thing that RemmyZero and a few other on here have said.
So I got them to change the brakes and WOW what a difference now. The brakes are more sensitive now.

You use the dealership for maintenance?
Glad you got the problem sorted out though.

No doubt...
$50 for pads and an hour in the garage... done.

Yeah I know....but once my warranty is over...they will never see me again.
I can't complain...they have been really good to me.
