For those of you that want an entry luxury car with manual xsmn and AWD, just letting you know the 2012 Acura TL SH-AWD now offers it. I know some of you are like why am I promoting acura on this site? Well as a car enthusiast I just thought I'd share since i think it's a new option. I do know i have seen several on here that say they wish they had a 6MT, but they do need their AWD.

infiniti needs to offer this too -_-
bmw, audi, lexus, now even acura, and many others offer this. lame.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought that the Acura AWD system was decidedly a front wheel drive bias, whereas the Infiniti AWD was more rear wheel drive bias. That alone would make me prefer the Infiniti, regardless of the manual tranny.

couldn't tell you to be honest, however when the stuff gets wet and slippery, it'll perform the same. Ummm that sounded like i wasn't even talking about cars.

I think very shortly Infiniti will stop offering a manual tranny just like they did in the Maxima.

I think its crazy that they dont offer it.. mostly because a ton of their customers are tuners like us who mod their cars and want to drive stick. (and not all of us can live in socal) I love infiniti and the community but my next car is going to be an STI or a 2008 RS4 because of this..

Well, I was going to say it must be nice living in (insert sunny city & state here) but then I glanced over to your location. Let's just say my point wouldn't have come across as intended. :D

Anyway, not all AWD systems are created equal. Rear wheel drive bias and a longitudinal drivetrain layout is my number one reason for going with the G. I came from two Subarus prior to this. I guess one tends to grow out of Subaru as they age. I agree with a post from another thread where someone mentioned that Subaru has this boy racer image to it. An RS4 on the other hand, would be a fine choice in my opinion. I just wouldn't expect Audi reliability to be on par with Infiniti.

???? This aint the 80's bro Audis if not on Par are probably better than infiniti. The fit and finish are definitely better. The price for an RS4 however is another question. Plus Audis have the best interiors hands down IMO

Don't get me wrong, I was planning on getting an Audi before deciding on Infiniti. I respect the car for what it is, but I'm still not convinced that its reliability is as good as Acura/Lexus/Infiniti.

If you buy an RS4 make sure it is on warranty they are know to have lots of issues and are very expensive to get worked on they are even very expensive to have them serviced.

^ good points by Sylvan and G3Sx, my bro had a 04 A4 and got tired of the expensive repair bills after 60k so sold it for an Acura TL-S, which is rock solid so far with no repair required so far other than regular maintaince with over 60k.

Okay. I will. My driveway is just as bad if not worse. :bowrofl: Snow tires make a monumental difference with this car..
Born and raised in the midwest, and before anyone says anything, we have had 4 G35s. Two were AWDs (an 04 and an 08) and two were RWDs (05 and my current 08 6spd) and the RWDs honestly do just as well in the snow with a good set of winters.

I love my awd for days like 8 inches or more of unplowed snow it just takes it like a champ. I do have snow tires though. I wonder if they don't offer awd man trans due to wear and tear , a manual trans can beat up the drivetrain more then an auto

snow is not such a problem, slush and ice, which we get around here, are. and my 5spd maxima became about unbearable in three lanes of stop and go traffic as a daily commute. i can only afford one overall car now, so the g35x fits my needs.
