Are used wheels safe to buy? I'm looking at set of 2003 Infiniti M45 rims? Thanks.
There was someone recently selling those rims on the forum with a picture of it on his car. I searched for it but couldn't find it....
Maybe someone else remembers what the thread was titled.

I have the 20" version of the wheels you were looking to buy, off an FX45. In my humble opinion they look good- if you're considering trying to talk the guy down on price and want to see a photo for reference let me know.
I have this personality quirk where any car with "aftermarket looking" wheels on it just looks rice to me. Typical finished alloy wheels with brand logos keep the car looking non-aftermarket and when they're bigger than stock it makes the car look like a performance model from the factory, imho. Wonder if anyone has gone with M56 or FX50 wheels on their G's....wish I could afford it...hm

So to follow up on this - dealership charges $350 per refurbished 17-inch wheel IF i give them my OEM wheels with scuffed paint. Otherwise they are more expensive. Crazy.
Dang it.
I am too broke to own this car... I maxed out my bank roll on just buying the dang thing. I think I'll just have to roll with effed up rims for the time being!
Although a bud mentioned tonight that the infiniti dealership will sell you refurbished wheels at a price break if you give them your current wheels. (They then send those out to be refurbished and the circle of life continues.) Any truth to that as far as you guys know?
If nobody knows I'll call in the a.m. and report back.

Yes, pictures please.
Also, would FX45 wheels fit a g35 sedan? I had no idea. Does the sensor still work and everything?

The most weight on the car the more it will affect everything when it comes to driving.
More weight = longer braking distance, slower acceleration, cornering etc.
Especially rotational weight like wheels. Think about if you held a 50 pound weight and tried to run with it and then make the same run without it.

^^ all true, with rotational mass is most significant.
But additionally, wheels and tires are considered "unsprung" weight, which has significant influence on handling of the car as well as the longevity of its suspension components.
