The color swap didn't work, the only color that worked was white, so I'm starting to realize why it doesn't work using my phone...maybe that's why it was labeled as a "camcorder cable" LMAO

I have 2 cables. One came with an iPod dock I have for video out to TV. It works as long as I switch the plugs around a bit as mentioned above. The other one I have that works came with a portable DVD/LCD player that also has video out to TV. It works as you would expect...with all three colors in the corresponding jack.

BestBuy, Futureshop or RadioShack (The Source) must have this.

There are no cables that will output video from any smartphone via the headphone jack being that only audio is output through that jack and perhaps mic input at most. The only way it would be able to output video is through the mini or micro usb port, and only a select few phones offer that right now.

All iPod touch and iPhones have composite and component audio/video cables. Parts MB129LL & MB128LL. My old 5th Gen 60GB iPod video also does video out via the 3.5mm jack but that's no good for what you want. Plays audio/video nicely on our OEM screen though.
The Samsung Galaxy S has video out through the 3.5mm headphone jack. There may be others, IDK.

I should specify that I was referring to Android phones. Most do not have TV out, at least not what you see on the phone with exception of a few, I think the HTC Evo and Incredible and that one Samsung model. Out of these only the Samsung seems to output video through the 3.5 jack and it's the only phone that does it that way and mirrors what's on your phone screen, not just the apps. My HTC also mirrors the phone in the TV out mode, but that's only through the microusb, which wore out from the repeated plugging and unplugging, so now it's just streaming via BT, no more video. Which is fine because the quality of the composite-in was pretty bad, the video is a bit blurry and at least with my g's lcd, it has this wierd stretched area in the center of the display so it throws off the proportions of the image. Unnoticeable until you try to view pictures. Could just be my lcd display however.

that sucks, well thanks for letting me know...

ok i have a new problem with AUX (NOT RADIO cause that works fine). ever since i did the "forbidded mod" the right side of the car has not been playing music...(balance is set to the middle) is there anything i might have done that would cause that to happen? or is it possible that i blew a fuse for the right side when i had my volume all the way up by accident when i turned on my music? (the left side still works fine) or could it be the RED aux outlet that i broke from unplugging and replugging the AUX wire a lot?<<this is what i suspect, but just want to know your opiniones

thangyou

The red rca input is specifically just for the right side speakers, so if you broke that, then yea, it would cause that. Though unless you really manhandled it, they're not THAT easily broken. Make sure it's not the cable itself that is damaged or not seating properly.

Subscribed- I definitely want to do this too. I would love to get video from my Samsung Galaxy S for navi, plug in my Ipod Nano 5th gen w/ video when I want, and maybe use the display for a nice aftermarket head unit as well at some point. I like the display right where it is- I just want something brighter, with better colors and resolution, and touchscreen built in (I guess navi LCDs have that?)

Maybe I'm missing something... what does this buy you when you already have a video in in the center console?

just thought it is cool lol, it adds an extra two video sources so you can add nav, backup cam, and other video stuff
"NAVRGB does not replace or add a factory navigation system, it only creates additional video inputs for the navigation system or color screen."

"NAVRGB video interfaces come with two composite video inputs: video 1 is dedicated for any video source, video 2 is dedicated for back-up camera. When the vehicle is in reverse, the screen will automatically switch to reverse camera (back-up camera overrides both DVD and navigation screen). "
