Idle RPM'S

Sitting at a stop, I notice that my RPM's go from 600 to 800 and then back to 600.. This just started to happen. I can actually feel the rev when it goes up to 800.. Seems to happen every few seconds while at the stop..
Anything to worry about?

thanks

i have never experienced this , but it may be due to dirty throttle bodies? you may want to check/clean them just in case?

^ whs, clean your TB following this DIY... however be aware that some ppl have had to do the idle relearn process after completing this cleaning while others like myself havent. The process is easy but takes a few tries before getting it spot on, its all in the DIY thread link i posted above.

^ Correct it is most likely your thorttle body which is dirty. I would suggest disconnecting the battery, unconnecting the harness and take it completely out and cleaning it. I cheated and didn't unplug the harness and had to do the relearn which is a pain.

Thanks... I'm not a DIY'er. Do you think it will be covered under warentee?

thanks

^ if youre under 60k/4yr bumper to bumper warranty you can take it in and they might take care of them but dont tell em that you think its dirty TB cause they would charge you for that since thats a maintaince thing and not a warranty issue, however at some dealerships they would take care of it.
