ART pipes vs BERK pipes
Is there really a huge amount of gain from the art pipes over the berk tps or do they perform the same
|
I mean is it really worth paying an extra $230
|
For the torque gains in the low midrange and zero rasp - i beleive they worth it! Berk testpipes are known for the loud rasp and drone and all the power gains are in the top end, which wont make you happy with the AT!
So, desperately waiting for the AWD version of the ART Pipes! |
Coo I have an AT u think it would naked a diff ? Cause i.have berk pipes but I'm thinking of changing them to the art , but I'm wondering if u could notice the diff , u don't have them on ur car ? Do u have friends that have told u ?
|
i don't have them, as I drive AWD G35, but will buy them as soon as they are available to order! some people wrote that AT drivers benefit from them more, as automatic transmission tends to use midrange rpms for the fuel efficienty and ART pipes known for the torque gains in this range.
you can read about them in this huge thread: http://www.the370z.com/intake-exhaus...es-review.html and in the local sub-forum: https://g35driver.com/forums/v36-eng...etrain-fi-373/ |

I got the Berk resonated tp's installed on saturday... I will add on to the original thread I created but just to share a little with you guys... little to no rasp on the resonated version... the sound is lightly heard from inside the cabin. I had my girlfriend drive it up and down the road and I was amazed under light pressure on the throttle you can hear it half a mile away. very tasteful not raspy/ricey... Very noticeable gains unfortunately my tires are pretty worn out so I have to take it easy for now. If there is one thing I don't like about the tp's is the smell. Anywhere you stand outside the care the fumes will be strong as hell, and even when you bring down the windows. sorry for the rushed message/punctuational errors . In a hurry!

You do realize that this is a very subjective question, right? One could say that there isn't even a "huge" amount of gain out of either pipe over stock. :dunno:

So i got my car dynoed and my friend w a 350z same motor and stick shift w art pipes made way less HP and tq than I did.

I'm pushing 326 HP and 289 tq , he was pushing 315 HP 280 tq
|
326 rwhp? sounds way too optimistic on VQ35HR with only test-pipes and even cat-back + intake... :confused2:
what dyno it was? |
