I finally have all the parts for the brakes and suspension mods: new spring perches trimmed 1/2", 370Z front springs, SPC rear camber kit with new toe bolts. Brakes: Adam's A/R Street rotors, Stillen brake pads, G2 black caliper paint and AP brake fluid. I also picked up the Infiniti brake shields to install while I have it apart. Never had it done under warranty and now I have a problem with the shudder.

Hopefully I will only have it apart for two days. I used the forum to do all my research and plan to use the DIY's when possible. I think everything is here to get it done! Thanks in advance.

Anything else I should do while I have it apart? Bushings, etc.?

Finished part 1 - brakes
 

Finally finished part of the project - the brakes! Took longer than I thought with all the interruptions though. Decided to do the rear brakes first then the front.

Rear removal is pretty straightforward except the radius rod blocks removal of the lower two bolts. After I removed the calipers and replaced the rotors, I put the wheels back on and dropped it to the ground to do the front.

Jacked up the front and used my only two jack stands (hence rear then front) to pull everything off. After installing the splash shields from the TSP, I replaced the rotors. Next I started cleaning the calipers with a wire brush and two cans of brake cleaner. The G2 kit included one can but two or more will be needed!

The paint was very easy to apply. Though there doesn't seem to be much, I was able to do multiple coats on everything. I let it dry over night then applied the vinyl stickers. We'll see how those hold up over time.

Put everything back together and flushed and bled the brakes. The fluid coming out looked terrible - dark and dirty. Then on to I-275's ramps to bed the brakes. Did 8 or so 60 mph to 10 mph dives with 90% pressure to heat things up then let them cool. Then some 80 to 50's just to be sure. The shudder is gone, it stops on a dime and looks great. In a month or two I'll get up the courage to install the lowering parts!

The Adam's Rotors are awesome! Really nice finish. I'll post a follow up in a month to see how they look after I wash the car and get them wet. We'll see if there is any rust or corrosion. Thanks to everyone who posts, I could not have done this without G35driver's.

Sounds like you're off to a great start. IMO the spring/lowering mod was pretty simple, elongating the toe bolt slot was a PITA but using a dremel cutoff wafer made it much easier than trying to use that cutting bit.

with the shaved mounts/370z spring combo you won't need a camber kit. Any particular reason you went with one? Just trying to save you some $$$

Will I be able to get back to factory spec? I run Pirelli Super Sports and can't afford premature wear. Thanks

If your lowerd only the back will be in spec if you have the camber lit. The front, well your out of luck unless you got the front kit as well.

Front AND rear
 

I am using the springs to lower the front and the shaved spring perches in the back. Should only be about a 1" drop.

I can confirm this. I did this on my prior 07 X and alignment was brought back within Infiniti specs. It's only a 3/4" front and 1/2" rear drop.
I'm now using the Eibach Prokit (1.5"front & 1.2" rear) and the shop was able to get everything within Infiniti specs except the front camber which is high at about -1.8each. I still don't have uneven tire wear. I know a local guy with the exact same set up as me. I've seen his tires. After 10's of thousand of km his tires are wearing even.
There is a limit to lowering where you must get camber kits to avoid rapid uneven tire wear but 3/4" isn't at that point.

Adam's Rotors Update
 

I've been braking hard with no fade and no squeal. I've washed it twice and been through several rainstorms where the car was put up wet. Rotors still look great!

I finished installing the 370Z front springs and 1/2" cut rear spring perches. The spring perches were new. After three days and 120 miles or so, the front has settled from 27-1/2 to 26-3/4. The rear has taken longer to settle from 27-11/16 to 27-1/4. It looks great! A little scraping on the bottom lip exiting the driveway if I do it straight. I'll let it settle another 300-400 miles and get it aligned at the dealership.

Great, easy mod that only took a day. I have the rear camber kit and toe bolts if it doesn't align at the dealership Friday.

Sounds like a pretty mild drop, shouldn't have trouble getting into spec. You can always sell those toe kits, I wouldn't elongate those toe slots unless you really have to.

After about 700 miles, I took the G to the dealer for a complete alignment. Everything was adjusted into spec with no problems. Pushing the edge of the spec in some spots but still in the envelope. Anyone want to buy and SPC rear camber kit with toe bolts NIB!
