what's under the lower valence grilles?

So for 2007 G35x, what is exactly under the lower valence plastic coverings? it has been really bothering me and I am planning to cut them out. does anyone know what exactly is under there? like anything electronic or vulnerable to rust? thanks!

if youre talking about the front bumper side vents then no there are no electronics back there, on the passenger side there is the windshield fluid bottle and on the right side not much from what i recall.

A few ppl have drilled holes in that plastic grill without any issues but be aware that they were left closed on purpose for better aerodynamics/reducing drag but shouldnt matter much in regular city driving.

I am aware of the drag factor, I just hate the look that's all. And I only drive in the city for the most part so I don't think its gonna be a factor at city speeds.

Here is an example from someone who cut the OEM vents

^ that looks better than those ebay bolt ons. 07xprinze you should put some medium thickness mesh in those areas to coverup a little, i think that would look even better imo.
