Car Jerks and doesn't accelerate
Hello
I have a 07 G35S sedan auto transmission with 76k miles on it. Recently I am experiencing that the RPM goes pretty high when I slow down and during curves and try to accelerate. Car doesn't get the power though. Its like I am accelerating while I am in neutral Today, when I was driving to work, I noticed vdc off and slip light came on immediately I started moving and the max speed I can go is 30 mph. If I try to go above that, car jerks as if I am driving a manual incorrectly( like I am in first gear , with not working on clutch) . So it jerks and car slows down. I have to keep it under 35 mph or under 3000 rpm to keep going. Searching on web gave me various results, with people saying it could be the valve, ECU etc. Did anyone experience this? i will take it to local mechanic here since I dont have a Infiniti dealer within 130 miles from my place. Any help would be greatly appreciated. PS: I should have posted this in Sedan's section |
found this on this forum

This pretty well describes "limp mode". I can't believe you don't have some kind of ECU fault code available, even if it's a stored code. Get your codes read and report back. Situations requiring the ECU to invoke limp mode can be quite serious, but that's not to say they can't be minor as well. Best to get to the bottom of it quickly.
how do i get ECU codes , do i have to go to dealer. sorry for dumb question |

PS: I should have posted this in Sedan's section As you know this is the coupe section so I'm not sure if my similar 6MT conditions apply, but this happened to me when I got some water in the intake cleaning the engine....I seriously thought my engine was about to seize it was bucking so bad, but apparently it dried up. It started right up 20 minutes later and the ECU cleared all the CEL's. That was back in May and Ive been fine since then. |
