Thoughts on Carbon Fiber Hood?
I have been debating for a good while now on whether I should get a hood or not. I already have a carbon fiber trunk, so I thought the hood would complete that. My hood is also getting worse it has a few chips in it and a few odd discolored paint spots. So I thought a carbon fiber ams style hood would be my best option

Up to your budget but you would have to vinyl the roof!
Would look nice on the G

Go ahead and pull the trigger
I think that hood looks good. Anyone know if these are plug and play or do you have to change the mounts/latch etc...?
I think that hood looks ghetto
On most that I've looked theres no need for anything new
Is it the design or the carbon fiber you think is ghetto?
If you're going the carbon fiber route, I honestly really like the autokits hood..

I ordered that exact hood one time and it took 2 months for these guys to tell me they couldn't even do carbon fiber. I was extremely disappointed in their service. I had already paid for it and everything. So I turned around and bought exhaust instead.

I don't think you are going to save much weight by changing it (alum hood), BUT, for the "second kind of cool" (as Nutinfancy calls it) factor, I think it will look great with the trunk. Then get the roof done.
Oh yeah, and that hood you posted, I'd say get it.
Sure am! I've only seen a few other big Packer fans here.
So you going to pull the trigger?
You mean this hood? I had 3 issues with it. The washer nozzles and gasket did not fit on the new hood. I used a black silicone adhesive to put them on and they have been fine so far.The second issue was that the black plastic pieces that keep our hood latches from twisting, the push pins broke when trying to use them in the new hole. I am guessing I need a longer shank pin or the hole is the wrong size. the third. is the Bump stops did not fit. I am not sure if a g37 bump stop would fit since the hood is made for g37's. I still have to figure that one out. No real issue with not having them. Oh and the hood vibrates a little at certain speed because it is more flexible than stock. Not an issue though.

Really not digging that hood.
Looks like it belongs on a rally car. Not an Infiniti. |
If your car already had the look for it then maybe. But not just standalone.
Maybe if you add a wald body kit? LOL
Imo Wald is a little too much for our cars. Maybe on a 350z or a 370z it would look more in place. The front and rear bumpers are waaay out there and look kinda ricer.
I like that infrared picture of the hood. Very functional

</3 never thought rice and wald will go together in the case of the v36 ... My plan was to do it.. But not if it looks ricey
It would definitely be unique. I just think subtler mods flow a lot better on the V36
Tbh, I wanted to do it on a red v36 add a oem cf hood, add cf fenders (the ones like the 09 fx35, I believe) and the wald body kit... And black vinyl the roof , but it's a lot of rice I guess! Then I would have to do something around the grill because it would look very off the carbon fiber fender. I don't know if this makes sense...
