Door won't open. Gotta love the winter
Hello everyone. I've done some research on the topic as there are a good amount of people with similar problems on the forums. I have a decent understanding of what I need to do.
As of this morning I tried opening my door and due to the cold snowy weather the door seemed harder than normal to open. The door did open with not much more than normal force but it wouldn't shut once I was inside. I'd shut the door and it would not latch and just bounce back open. After playing with the latch I got the door to shut. But now it doesn't open. Locks work every way possible but the handles on the inside and outside of the door have no tension as if it were locked. My question is how do I open the door so I can take off the panel and see if the cables for the the mechanism are broken or loose? 2008 G35s |
Did you get this figured out?
**If not, does anyone else have the solution for this? I'm dealing with the same scenario. Thanks. |

I had this happen to mine; what I did after screaming and swearing in the parking lot at work for awhile and managed to get it shut I drove to canadian tire and bought lock de-icer spray, sprayed it all over the lock and latch mechanisms and it hasn't happened since. A tech at Nissan recommended to oil the latches and things but the de-icer spray did the trick for me, this happened sometime in early december and haven't had it do this since.

Roll the windows down.
Pry away the top of the interior panel. Remove the inside window weather stripping. Straighten a coat hanger - put a hook on the end. Slide it down the gap you've created and pull up on the latch lever. The door is now open. |
