Jet ranger... if you will list the mileage and options of the vehicle there are several really savvy posters here that can give you truthful and helpful information Four of the very best have already answered you. All four of those guys have helped me a ton on here over the years with my 08G (with 240,000 miles on it)

Do you honestly believe taking a G35 to the Stealership is a logical idea? Even if it was perfect, mint condition they'd come up with a list a yard long! How soon you forget the prices quoted to us for service when we first bought our G35s. Remember $300 trans service when Nissan's price was half that? I only went to Infiniti for warranty work or recalls and then only 3 times since '04! Even their wash rack destroyed members rims, how soon you forget! Infiniti? Hell no, anyone else...maybe!

In my opinion it would be prudent to know the history of the vehicle, whether it shows evidence of ever being involved in an accident, have any evidence of flood damage, proper wheel alignment, brakes, any electrical faults, as well as services or lack of done by Infiniti.
Whatever the dealer finds could be used in price negotiation but hey its his money and he can decide whether it is worth the risk to not do it.
