Battery drain located...
A couple weeks ago I posted a description of what was happening with my 08 G35 Sport. when the car sat for a few days the battery would be dead. So, I put a new battery in the car. Same thing happened. I checked the battery, no problem. Checked the alternator, no problem. Obviously, there was a parasitic drain. When I completely disconnected the trunk mounted CD unit (which I would never use)..........problem solved ! :RAISEROOF:

Awesome, glad you got it nailed down.

Jet, how did you determine that the CD unit was the problem? I am having similar issues with my car.

2007 BlueSlate,
I started out attempting to be scientific.....but what it really came down too was this......I had watched a you-tube video sometime ago and the guy had the same trouble, something draining his cars battery. He determined it to be the trunk mounted CD player. His solution was to remove the CD cartridge. I did that, but my problem continued. So, I completely disconnected the trunk Cd unit, which was easy......just one plug at the unit. after doing that I have not had any problems. I checked my battery everyday with a multi-meter and the car has sat un-used for a few days......no problem. Jet |
