How many original '07-'08 V36 sedan owners still here?
Purchase order went in 12/06.... trucked up to WA state from CA in 3/2007. Dealers in area wouldn't do anything other than MSRP on new model so was able to get Fairfield, CA dealer to put in a custom order on a fully loaded X at invoice and truck up to WA state. Big savings on a lot of levels. I think pre-tax price was around $37.8K for a fully loaded X with tech package.
I had shopped '06 G35x in spring of 2006 but again dealers wouldn't budge. |
I'm still here and my wife's '08 G35S is trucking along.
|
Mine is going good also, only 62,000 miles though,,
|
Cool to hear there are still a few of us around. |
I also picked up mine in March of 2007. I recently hit 193,000 miles. It's been a great car overall. I've mostly just had to keep up with regular maintenance. I've been starting to notice it age a bit lately, but I think I've got a few good years left at least.

Got mine on December 31, 2007. Still running like a champ after all this years with no major repairs (of course brakes, tires, etc not counted). Just brought today from the dealer, did an oil and brake fluid change at 145,000. Love this car!
|
Got mine in September 2007, still going strong - with a number of things replaced / fixed - suspension, A/C, exhaust... my other car is a loaded 2018 Audi Q7 and I still prefer the G a lot of the time. 146K and counting |
Still here as well. Bought in April 2007. current odometer reading is 58000
|
My 07 G35x is still going strong
Original owner. 168k.
|

|

(mine is pre-owned, '08, I only got 86k miles on it for far) |
Still here.
Got my G35xS in 3/2008. Now I'm at 127K miles and going strong. Love my car. Plan to keep it past 200K or 5 more years... Maybe more!!! |
I am new - but 2008 G35X still kicking
Hi All, new here.
2008 G35X Base model - 165,000 kms still drives great...front wheel bearings changed more often than I would like. Trying to do a steering wheel angle reset - any DIY or inexpensive scanners out there that would do it? Plaz |
Not that I know of, Nissan Datascan II can do it I think but it requires the software, laptop, interface cable.
|
Nice to see that there are still early second gen sedans with 100K+ miles still going without much of a hiccup. I picked my 08 6mt on 03/08 and just rolled pasted 125k miles. Other than the early water pump failure at 120k she’s still running strong.

Original owner since May 2008 and at 93K miles. Getting a little irritated at the rattling noise in the engine (supposedly normal) and just got a quote for $4500 to fix the airbag light (requires full seat replacement.... not gonna fix, putting tape over light instead). Otherwise it's been a great car and minimal repairs. Had two breakdowns in the last year for starter and coolant hose connector. Replaced one wheel bearing (common issue) and had AC compressor replaced under extended warranty (noisy).
Next car will likely be something more mainstream like Accord or Altima since I only make short trips around town. |

Our current 2008 was purchased with around 30k but it was never titled. the owner of the dealership let his wife drive it. this ole girl has 202,000 miles on it to date. she is still in very good shape and running like a champ. we actually just replaced the original battery on it this year. we have taken it to infinity for just about everything since we had it. we did have a pretty nice ac repair 2 or 3 years ago, but other than that. this has been the best car we have ever owned. we just purchased a 2018 Q50 from the Cavana vending machine this month. we get to pick it up on the 26th. I think we will be infinity owners for life.

We leased our 2007 G35x in April 2007, then bought it at the end of the 3 year lease. We gave the car to our son when he turned 17 and got his license in May of 2016. Absolutely the most reliable car I have ever owned. It has about 160k miles and still going strong!!!

This thread is amazing. Lately I've been thinking about coming back to an an Infiniti after my GS400 was recently totalled.
Have been going back and fourth about an 07-08 G35xS or a 2010 G37xS. Still on the fence about it but seeing so many high mileage examples running flawlessly makes me consider an 07-08 for some reason. Lately I've seen some low mileage 07-08s around the same price as average mileage 09-10s. Any reason why I should skip a G37 and go for an 07-08 model G? |
07 G35X sedan V36 with the VQ35HR with 215k and I love it
No major issues for me, I think that I have to change my cam shaft position sensors but other than that it is still fast and fun plus it handles amazing. First infinity and I love the G's more than the newer cars. Best of luck finding one for yourself

Still got mine, 2008 g35x, bought new in Jan 2008 |
Just a bump thread for original owners.

120K miles and still passing inspections. Actually I recently found new interest in the G and catching up on neglected maintenance. Still fun to drive.

Nice!!!... mine just turned over 113k miles and just turned 15 years as of last week myself. |
1st g for me
I recently got a 2007 g35x From my father in law I have loved this car since the day he brought it home well I finally got it unfortunately it was after the car had sat for 3 year and at least a year of which the sunroof drains clogged and leaked into car it has 156k on it and believe it or not runs like a dream has a small oil leak at front of valve cover on passenger side but hasn’t leaked much oil in the couple months I’ve had it so it’s at bottom of list I had to clean the interior very well and get smell out but other then that so far it’s been going good oh and I just put a set of Megan racing ezii series coilovers on her more mods to come I plan to completely restore her to her former glory
|
These cars are solid ... no complaints
|
I bought my 2007 G35 Journey Package in December of 2006. I have almost 59,000 miles on it.
|
My wife bought her ‘08 G35X "off the lot" late in 2008, she loved the AWD, the 300+HP and how solid it felt. After almost 15 years, it's now relegated as the "emergency" third car for us w/218,000 miles. We've only put 2,000 on it in the last 3 years, which is a shame since it’s still a blast in the seat when that peddle goes down.
