Farewell and thanks!

So i've been a member here for a little over 12 years when I first started researching buying a G35 and finally became an owner in May of 2009. For the last 10 years you guys have been awesome with helping me, and hopefully i've helped some of you with my DIYs and tech posts (just noticed my serpentine belt DIY had over 80,000 views, woot!). Three weeks ago I traded in the G for a 2019 Q50 3.0t Luxe AWD. My wife is the primary driver but let me tell you I was impressed driving it home. I own a 2016 Mercedes C300 Sport but felt a bit of jealousy that I didn't lease or buy a Q50 for myself before getting the benz. The Q has a Mercedes engine in it though so I guess it's still all in the family ;)

I will say that the Q50 is a worthy replacement for the G35. Here's my take so far:

Pros:
Gas mileage is excellent (29-30mpg on the highway).
Engine response is excellent (295lb-ft of torque, this baby moves!!).
Interior fit and finish is excellent and what I had came to expect from infinity.
The navi is on-point and hasn't failed me yet when it comes to avoiding traffic.
The tech packages are well worth the money (around-view camera, blind spot warning, collision prevention, etc.).
FINALLY they have folding rear seats so you can fit more in the trunk

The CONS:
Reverse-tilt mirrors are still not standard, however, if you have the around-view monitor it's not crucial.
Still no option for air-conditioned seats unless you step up to the pricey Q70 (audi and benz have this option in their lower models, not a deal breaker for me though)
If you're in love with the throaty idle of the 3.5L or 3.7L engines then you'll be a little sad that it's gone, but WOT with the turbo is quite satisfying

So far that's it. I don't have anything really negative to say.

Good luck to you all! I'll be over on the Q50 forums from now on.

Bob
