This question is asked on a weekly basis. And to be honest, I can't blame those who ask. But it does get irritating to see the same question pop up every other day.

No, but you may pay for a Premier Membership that includes the option to have an avatar.

although i've contemplated becoming a premier member, the benefits described are at best not really that great, and at worst downright misleading. the end decision should be that you're supporting the continuing open exchange of ideas and information in a community that is both enthusiastic and, for the most part, very knowledgeable about something that we're all into, at least slightly, after all, we all bought these cars, right?

Yeah not having avatars is a little much. I understand the idea but its not like this website costs a lot 50$ is a lot for a simple membership. Thats more then I pay for 3 small websites a year . Plus all the money they are making from advertisements etc.

It's only $30...has been since I was a member. Being a premier member supports the site and gets you all the benefits Calvin listed in his first post. If you don't want to become a premier member just realize you won't have an avatar. It's not that big of a deal.

Well now I see the reason you have less Premium Members. As an administrator it is your responsability to handle these and any other types of questions as many times as required. I honestly tried to find the answer and somehow I could not. I figured it was a perk of being a "paid Member".

I wonder if the G35Driver forum / club founder knows this is the way you answer to his prospective customers.

Next time dont talk in double standards! Say what you need to say!

Did this link not answer your question? If you prefer, I can copy/paste this in a PM reply next time to make it "more personal."

Guys, you all come here and gain a heck of a lot of knowledge.
This is a great forum with people from all walks, who share one thing in common. Some of the members share great deals of information while others come here to learn more.
It's $30-. I've spent more on a bad lunch.

Support the forum, or at the very least, don't complain about what the $30 gets you and continue to lurke for free.
Even the regular members will have Avatar options soon... so no worries.

It's about supporting the forum, not the avatar. With over 80k members and at least 1000 people logging in every day, all day, this forum is not small and needs a good server and upkeep so we don't get tons of lag. The avatar and the premier member's forum is just a bonus.
