Can't become Premier member, PayPal doesn't work

When I try to become a Premier Member PayPal says that the merchant is unable to receive money - what gives?

Any way around this?

Yeah, I'm trying to renew my premier membership before it expires and it won't let me.
I get a message "This recipient is currently unable to receive money."

Can we please fix this before my membership expires, or at least leave my status where it is until you get this squared away?
I got an email telling me it's about to expire and I can't renew!

I've made IB aware of the issue and will keep you posted.

The system will not allow a member to renew until the subscription has expired. We are going to try to fix that. We are looking at the issue with new registrations. Thanks.

Well, my Premier Membership has now expired and I STILL can't pay you guys.
And now my mailbox is overflowingly full too.

This kinda sucks.

When will this issue be resolved? I need to post something in the classifieds and can't upgrade to premier.

Hi,

I'm sorry, but I can't give you a firm time. The last time this occurred, it took a couple of days for Pay-pal to fix the problem on their end. Hopefully, it will be resolved quickly.

are you sure it's expired? Your name is still bold, and I still show you as being in the premier member usergroup...

Well, here we are again. Paypal is still not accepting payments and I've again been turned off, even though Bob assured me my membership was safe until this was fixed.
I'm organizing a caravan to a meet this weekend and my pm system is getting messages rejected.
I even offered to snail mail my payment.

I gotta say, although no one persons fault, this is truely bogus

It will be back up in a minute. I lost track of which day your subscription expired. Sorry!

...any other Premier members ready to expire (your account that is) please drop me a PM.
We can bridge it until PP is up & running again.

Thanks Bob.
I hope Ian here can attest... I'm not the kind of guy to come in here and complain.
I just want to renew my membership, give back to the site, and keep the premier perks.

I know you guys are just as frustrated as I am.
Hopefully, it's all fixed soon.

Thanks again guys!!!

Absolutely no worries! Glad we could help! I hope to have an update soon on the pay-pal issue. Thanks!
