Over or under the G coupe's median age?

I was surprised to read today in AutoSpies that the median age according to Infiniti's G coupe buyer profile was 47 and a whopping 51 (?!) for the BMW 3-series coupe. Around where I live, most G35 coupe drivers I see are usually male and look to be in their 30's, generally... or early 40's or late 20's. If the buyer profile data is correct, there must be a lot of older guys driving coupes that I just don't see as much. Either that, or they own the cars but their sons are driving them?

Are people here over, under or at the median age? Just curious.

BTW, I am under the median age by a comfortable number of years.

A lot of buyers buy the cars for his or her own son or daughter. I know my father (who is 57) will be buying a car for me (I'm 40 years younger).

my average median for coupe clients are about 45. yes I get a lot of young professionals but it does bring in the public who want a luxury sports coupe. my oldest coupe client is about 82y.o.....and no problems getting in and out his coupe

da mayor -- just curious, does the gender split in your dealership reflect the buyer profile (approx. 70-30 split)? Around town, I probably see 15 guys driving G coupes for every one gal...

Goes to show that Infiniti knows the market well. :) I don't think they thought 60.5% of the market (45+/family) really was concerned so much with all out performance. I don't really a lot of those 60.5% being track racers. :p

17??? no offense to anybody here but you're a kid till about 30 no matter how you're brought up. a new luxury car is nice but really, stay in school, study hard and figure out how we can produce ethanol more efficiently than our generation has been. we're counting on you.

btw, i'm 42

Interesting data, I am also under the median age, at 26 here.

Wow thats a high median , anyway got an 05' when i was 19, just turned 21 on the 21st and loving the G.

PS No accidents or damage so age doesnt always matter.

i'm under the median by a long shot too (24), but then again, i bought a sedan... i wonder what the figures are for them... probably older i'm guessing, but i have to say, the numbers look representative for around here, i don't think i've seen any body less than 20years older than me driving a g (that i could see, there's been a few tinted quite dark, so hard to tell, probably younger) coupe or sedan. more youngin's driving Zeds though (and yes, i think the canadian pronunciation sounds so much cooler in reference to the car, zee? seriously!).
but i have to admit, the old guys seem to start to act like they're young when driving a G. kinda funny, but what ever lets you hold on to your youth...
