Bad buy?

The low price kinda worries me but it's really a steal. Obviously I'd get it inspected before buying. What do you guys think? https://m.autotrader.com/cars-for-sa...ngId=459870962

It's on a rebuilt title due to being in the flood in Texas. I would NEVER buy a flood vehicle except as a donor vehicle for part (not electrical parts).

The "seems too good to be true" adage pops up in my mind. I'm with cleric, I wouldn't touch a flood vehicle. Even if it checks out today I'd always be leery something serious down the road will fail.

according to the vin this car was totaled (total loss reported) in 2009, no records of it being flood damaged but do you want a car pieced back together by an unknown party? I wouldnt touch it....

cleric670 11-20-2017 05:31 PM

It says in the sellers description it was totaled due to flood damage.

oops

looking at the description would have been a good idea...

To be declared a total loss brand new off the lot, I'd imagine that had to be pretty significant flood damage from the hurricane. I'd steer clear of it. Also, I HATE electrical work
