2012 g37 traction control light
 

My traction control light comes on when i take off and its dry out what could be the issue before I go to the dealer tonight. im thinking i might have caliper seized up???

I recently dynoed my car and as usual when i drove off the vdc and slip light and abs light were on but went off in just a few seconds of driving. I then turned it off and everytime i start my car now my lights are off but when i get over 20 mph my traction control and slip light come on and stay on. The vdc button doesnt do anything. Ive unplugged my battery and tried to clear it with Cipher but Cipher doesnt pick it up. Ive read that it resets when you turn off the vehicle and it does go off but then comes back on when i start driving. I just put new brakes on this spring so I doubt its brakes. Let me know.

The vehicle does an ABS self-test every time it hits 10mph the first time after the vehicle is started. Your car is failing the self-test for some component and disabling the VDC/traction control/ABS. Could be brake fluid level, any of the 4 abs sensors, yaw sensor, ABS controller itself has codes for the motor and each solenoid, also codes for the ABS motor relay.

The most common cuprit is low brake fluid but there are a LOT of components to that system so it would probably be best to take it to Nissan for a diagnostic to pull the code if your brake fluid is fine.

It's also common for people to install their brakes wrong. Did you flush ALL the fluid? Did you follow the non-standard caliper bleed order as shown in the FSM? Did you force the caliper piston open without opening the bleed screw and thus forcing fluid (and contaminants) BACKWARDS through the ABS controller? Lot of things can go wrong if you don't follow the proper steps for installing brakes on a car like this.

Highly recommend a Motiv bleeder, it's quick and easy, pretty cheap too and you can recoup most of the cost by selling it on craigslist if you don't want to keep.
