Can you share what model of Dunlops those are? I have tried looking closely at the pics, but still can't read the sidewall. Tirerack also doesn't show Dunlops available in the staggered sizes, but they may not carry the full line yet. Or perhaps the '09 non-Sport 18's are not staggered anymore? Thanks for any info you can provide!

Matt,
Couple of questions:

1. Any idea when they'll be available for sale? I need a new motorcar.
2. Any idea if the 09's are already approved for use? (I'm on vacation so I haven't seen the updated approved list)
3. How does the dealership feel about us using 89 versus the required 91?
4. When you get the pricing, can you PM me our price for the 09 and the 08 (just in case the 09 isn't approved for some reason)?
5. Are you guys going to have some available on the lot for purchase (Sport, non premium for us) or am I going to have to order it? If ordering is required, how long is the expected/estimated wait for delivery?

I think I met you at the auto show, your last name is M*****i, right?

The wheels are most likely the same non-staggered units from the '08 xS. I wouldn't know first hand because we've never ordered an xS here (being in Hawaii and all) but the literature for the '08 states that the wheels for the xS are 7.5" all around (not staggered 7.5" front/8.5" rear like the RWD Sports) and roll on V rated Dunlop (not W rated Bridgestones like the RWD Sports) tires which I would assume are the same Dunlops you see in the pictures on the '09. In other words, the optional "wheel and tire package" on '09 non-Sports is basically the '08 xS wheel package which means a downgrade for '09 buyers since you no longer run on W rated tires and the rears are no longer staggered. On '08s, the optional wheel and tire package on non-Sport Journeys consisted of staggered 7.5" front/8.5" rear wheels and ran on RE050 W rated rubber (same wheels as the RWD Sport cars).

Hope I didn't just blow your mind with all that.

good info. sounds like G37 coupe wheels is a good upgrade path for 09 G37 sedans.

Nope, I followed it. I didn't know the xS had 7.5's all around as I haven't looked into x models too much. Looks like replacement options for us staggered folks remains at the RE050's and Eagle F1 A/S's.

Thanks for the feedback.

That may be a downgrade in performance. However, I got an un-repairable flat two weeks after I got my 08 and the new tire cost me $400! It was going to be $350 even if I bought it direct from tire rack. These are some crazy expensive tires!

Hey another quick question, do the 09 xS have the same brakes as the coupe as well?
