TPMS sensors on custom wheels
 
I just put custom TSW 18x9" wheels on my 2013 G37s and am having trouble getting the TPMS sensors to work. I had my tire dealer use his scan tool and reset them but the light came back on after 20 miles. The sensors are on the back side of the rims. Any one know what to do?

They are OEM sensors? If so, they clearly didn't reset them right if they were new.

yes, they are they are the ones out of my stock wheels.

Have them check again, if not, their code system can tell if they are dead (battery).

Try this
 
Here's what you should do. Go to Walmart and purchase a set of valve stems that will show you which tire is low. I bought a set of valve stems that are for 36psi. If one of my tires drops below 36psi a little red ring will show up on that specific valve stem.

Yes we have a monitoring system on our cars but, that system only tells you, you have a tire that is low and not which tire is low. I use these valve syems in conjunction with my factory system and they're a big help.

Now, instead of me trying to figure out which tire is low, I just check to see which tire has the red ring showing and put air in that tire. When all tires have proper air then the valve stems show green. The best part is they're only about 5 bucks and they always work with out hitch.

Great :IDEA: when ever I've heard the whistle and saw the warning on my dash it took 1/2 hr to figure out which tire had the issue...thanks Mr. B

I ditched my TPMS with a first set of tires. Got different wheels and never looked back. Every time I go on a long drives now my tire light goes on. I pretend it's a (don't forget to water the flower) light, downshift and go :driving:

Real man don't need TPMS :BOUNCE:
