Dropped off my MRR's at Wheel Technologies

When it rained a couple weeks ago, I hit some oil on the road and jumped a curb. Bent my left rear camber arm, hence the wanted ad in our classified forum, cracked my front left wheel and destroyed the lip on my left rear.

I talked to the guy at wheels america that did Domenic's wheels and he quoted me an unreasonable amount to do the wheels. He first gave me a flat rate and then proceeded to add more because of whatever reason.

So I gave Wheel Technologies a call and they said $125 each wheel, no matter what the damage is or what kind of custom work. I was a little skeptical about it at first when I walked in to the place. The office seemed like something you would see in a sweat shop...haha. I spoke with Eric about what I wanted and he said to just talk to the shop foreman.

I showed the foreman the wheel that was the worst and he said that there would be no problems. I told him that I didn't want to go back to the hypersilver finish and that I wanted machined/polished lips. Once again he said no problem, but he would need a couple of extra days to get them right. They do have a one day turn-around but he could tell I was pretty particular about what I wanted. He called me the next day and asked me to come in and take a look at the color of the spokes since I wasn't even sure how dark I wanted them. BTW these guys only do powdercoating unless you specify otherwise. They looked awesome!! He said the machining and polishing would be another day or two so I told him to take his time.

Got a call the next day to pick em up and this is what I got!

Total was 550 with mounting and balancing.

I'm excited. The car is at Grubbs right now with a throttle issue but as soon as I get it back, I'll post more photos with the wheels on the car:biggthumpup:

Damn, looks freaking awesome!

I'm sorry the Wheels America folks couldn't get you a good rate :dunno: In the end at least your wheels came out perfect. Can't wait to see more pics.
