windows roll down by themselves?

Hi a few weeks ago I started to notice that my windows would roll down by themselves. Sometimes it would just crack open but other times it would be fully down. Scenario: come home roll up windows, lock doors, the usual but wake up next morning and the windows are both rolled down. It's always both sides as well. Anyone know why this is happening?

gotta be in the remote or a failed bcm. i would try and pop open your remote and clean the contacts and then put a fresh battery in

try putting your driver side seatbelt in when you leave your car

Since we're doing random, senseless requests... try rubbing your stomach with circular motions with your right hand while rubbing the top of your head in circular motions with your left hand while hopping on one leg... let's make it the left leg!

(I'd check the remote though)

This happened to me for the first time today in my sedan...came out for lunch and all 4 of my windows were down about 3/4 of the way...I have no idea how

If you press and hold the UNLOCK button on your remote it will lower your windows.

Check your remotes :)

do a reset on the window

Flipjnh 12-11-2010 01:37 AM

check your remote, or you could have a short in your window control

Is it raining or wet outside? I had this problem with my old car but I had an aftermarket alarm. It was because the motor got wet a bit so it kept forcing it down on it's own.

That is weird that I found this thread because I just had this happen to me last night... I'm not sure how it happened but all my windows were down this morning and it had been snowing - not good!!!

I tried to hold down my unlock on my remote but it wouldn't roll the windows down, weird.

Check the left door lock actuator. If it fails it's possible it may act as if someone used the key in the door lock cylinder to open the windows. When the windows are down are the doors already unlocked?

I think the remote window feature can be disabled if you wanted to just eliminate the symptom

Same issue here , I shut car off, close door and as im walking away windows open, all 4 all the way, today is raining, I had to take the window fuse off just to be able to leave the car at work and not come back and have a aquarium instead of a car.. very annoying
help!!!
