rear differentials bushings

hello im looking to replace my rear differentials busing on 03 g35 6mt coupe. I called one shop and they said it would be 4 to 5 hours at rate of 109 i was shocked how much that would be. Anybody got whiteline installed on their G is it easy to do ?

I've installed the white line bushing on about 20 different g's and z's and they are all the same setup pretty much. If you're talking about the big bushing on the back of the diff (mounted in the subframe/cross member), it's a pita without air tools and a couple specialty/oddball tools (or makeshift tools).

Not too difficult but time consuming. Pull a brace or 2, drop the exhaust, and the driveshaft (could just disconnect from the diff but I like it all the way out of the way). Then remove the rear diff bolt, front diff bolts and lower diff (watch out for speed sensors and vent tube). With the diff all the way out you have total access to the rear bushing. Easiest way is to use something like a hub-shark. Basically pulls the bushing right out of the crossmember, but it's not easy. There's quite a lot of resistance. The new one slides right in with the grease provided though.

Might have gone into more detail than you were wanting, but 4 hours is not too bad of a time. Having done a lot of them I could do a couple hours probably, but if they don't normally do them 4 is alright.
