I've noticed that the interior power door lock switch only has the lock (upper) part of the switch illuminated at night. Is this normal or should both the lock and unlock portion of the switch be lit?

It is normal.

Discussed before.

 

If you look at the unlock side of the button you'll see it is painted on while the lock side is translucent to allow the light to pass through.
