FI Intimidator and FI HFC's installed

Received the exhaust system and hfc's today and went to my local garage to install them. Took about 2 hours going very slow and me watching over their shoulders. Everything came very well packaged in bubble wrap in two boxes. Quality of the welds and bends were impeccable. Wish I got the full polished version after seeing the polished tips and mufflers. Tony was very helpful during the installation as I was so **** about installing them right and didn't trust the local guy 100%.

At idle nothing seems very different, but when you get on it, OMG. It's like the stock exhaust note on massive steroids, so deep and no rasp and NO DRONING. Going up the usual hill during my commute where I got bad droning with my previous system, I didn't notice any at all today. Closed all the windows listening for the drone, none. Tony, I'm just really hoping the droning doesn't appear later on. It really complements the Vortech well.

For anyone else getting this system, don't freak out like I did when you see smoke coming from the engine bay at stops. It's the grease from the mandrel bending process burning off.

Now, how do I post videos for you guys?

Definately louder than stock. Didn't dyno yet, just installed today. Butt dyno says midrange improved significantly, got pushed back into seat more than before. Vortech definately breathes better with this.

HFC's will give you added HP with or without that setup. The average is about 8HP and the same for TQ on our Ceramic HFC's. As you mod - the combination can give you more as well overall.

The drawbacks - not smog legal - designed for off road use only! The disclaimer we have to give...but true. It doesn't mean the car wont pass a sniff test - but no way for visual, especially in California. You'll have to swap them out for testing every few years.

ehh, you know...so you spend a $100 every few years for a quick swap out for smog purposes, or you don't take advantage of the performance enhancement at all...I'd choose the performance and not worry about the $100 maintenance issue

well since you said it's not gonna pass a visual test...i think i can pass it off with my mechanic if it isnt a required test only center.

You have to remember that there are technically 4 CATS on these cars, and replacing them with 2, stainless units or polished ones, will kind of stick out as different
