Proper UtR CF Ztube install *pics*?

Hey guys, I've read about a few problems with the ztube touching/rubbing up against the AC line or something and also that little tube that comes out of its side. I was wondering if I did this right. any helpful input is appreciated.

notice the bent emission tube, will that be a problem? is there a way to safely turn it so that it is not bent?

i think thats the ac line or something, i read that it shouldn't rub on the tube. is that far enough? (or is it even the ac line?)

so far, i don't really notice a sound difference.

also, theres a tiny crack on the plastic emission ztube connection. I got it used from some guy on this forum, will that be a problem? looking from the inside of hte tube, I see no holes, and I hope its just an external scuff mark.

That bend in your vent hose is pretty tight, it would be good if you could straighten it out a bit to remove the crimping of the hose.
This is tha AC line they say to watch out for, looks like you have two clamps on that end for the CF tube, just make sure you have a good bit of clearance with both clamps.
It looks good.

i just let my breather tube sit right on top of the z tube so it doesnt crimp....as far as sound goes you wont hear a difference unless you really listen and when you do the exhaust note will be only a tad deeper than stock. only way your gonna get a noticeable difference is with a CAI/Pop-Charger

what??

This is the easiest mod you can do to your car. You shouldn't need a DIY section for it lol. newbs......

To be honest with you i really dont know haha. I bought the z-tube and engine cover from a guy in my car club and he gave me that filter thing with it. He called it a breather filter. I have no idea what it does, if it does nything at all

diablo1356 01-25-2007 02:03 AM

where does the tubing lead thats connected to the mini filter?

RJsd7 01-25-2007 02:55 AM

haha, its cute!

what is the emissions connection tube for anyway?

im not entirely sure ill have to check later. the hose is the one you take off the stock tube. it has no place to reconnect on the carbon fiber tube so it cant be all that important

what are the consequences of leaving it crimped as such?
