What good headers are offered for G35's?

What are some good headers for G35s? Anything slip jointed, with nice collectectors' etc.?-

Greddy, combined with 16G turbos :p

On a side note, unless you plan on installing them yourself, it's a real PITA and expensive to do. You're looking at around $600 for install. The old headers are a PITA to take out.

Someone on the forum is selling a set of impul headers

I don't have headers (cuz I'm going FI), but I heard DC Sports are petty good, along with the Nismo R Tune, if you have the money. I know Stillen makes some, I never of anybody using them. They claim 11.5 HP @ 6200 RPM's / 18.5 ft-lb of TQ @ 3800 RPM's.

Interesting. I'd pay big bucks if they are worth it!

And i would be installing them myself for sure. Im pretty handy.

crawford, nismo--both have collectors. Crawford may give you some more gains, but is a PITA to install since the engine needs to be lifted, unless you take your car directly to crawfor to get the install done. g/l with your purchase.

Have you look in your engine to what little space you have to install the headers?? I installed all my performance mods myself, and I would do my clutch/flywheel again any day, before I even think about trying to install headers. I'm not saying that you can't do it, but it's going to suck.

Headers on our G35's......?

From what I've seen if you've installed and exhaust system, spacer, intake and test pipes (high flow cats)
you've already maxed out what HP you can gain with NA. Yea, you could
spend the cash to get headers and even install them yourself (long weekend)
but the gains would be minimal and the head aches many........:icon43:

cost/benefit you are right, not worth it for most... headers have shown gains, minimal and it's an expensive gain to be had - so not really worth the $$$$... but when you're chasin' bits of power, you do silly things. I'm looking into headers, possibly (but will do cams as well, if/when)...

Crawford & Nismo are top notch when it comes to headers. But they are way, and I mean wayyyy too expensive for a pair of headers. With labor, you're looking at $1500-1800, depending on how much you get qouted for labor & which one's you get.

Personally, I'll be going with DC or Strup; they aren't too much, and show some results. I can get a pair of Strup SS headers for $450 shipped.

.

Top Speed (aka Pro-1) makes some great headers for a very reasonable price.

Hmm.... thats interesting because i bet there isnt that many great headers for G35s. I know of a custom header maker that has made headers for BMW's and hondas, Domestics, and when it comes to how to release exhasut gasses the best this guy knows his ****. I might have to talk to him into possibly making a custom header for our cars if the interest is there. How many people do you guys think out there would be interested in a header that would probably blow all headers in the market outta the water? Is there any cams out there for G35 motors?

there are good headers out there and there are good cams... However, giving a machinest specs for custom work is always a good option!
