Exhaust leak from the flange of the muffler

Hey guys today i noticed some type of like sputtering sound from the rear of my car and i look around and i see there was water dripping from my exhaust at the part where the muffler bolts to the rest of the system and thats where the sound is comming from. I tightend the bolt that fasten theflenges together but no diff does anyone know what i should do. is there a seal in there or something?

There is an exhaust gasket that is suppose to be there. I would unbolt it where you can seperate the two flanges and check the gasket. My midpipe to muffler in my sedan is a round metal gasket (doughnut gasket). If the gasket is present and good condition then it should be reuseable. Torque it back down afterwards and see what happens.

replace gasket and you should be good

what happens if at my midpipe it keeps blowing gaskets.. constantly.. like ive changed my gasket about 4-5 times now and it keep blowinga whole right threw them within 2-3 days.. its really getting on my nerves..

I have an X02 and Helix testpipes... any suggestions.. im right about ready to weld the mother ****er. :dunno:

you arent tightening the exhaust enough. get metal gaskets.

i was using an air gun and all..

I found the problem now..

I went to this place to put on my new gaskets i found from when i got my X02.

When i got to the place i put it on the lift, and there was no leak.. i was surprised.. so the guy like pushes/hits my resonators and it makes a whole bunch of CLank clink sounds..

My resonators are messed up.. so now im looking for a X02 y pipe if anyone has one.. the thing with my y pipe is that it comes back dual rather than single.

Appreciate the help! ( Also thinking about putting stock with helix v2 test pipes still on) Think it'll sound sick? :JAMIN:

The easiest thing to do is cut out the bad resonators and weld in new replacements.

I was wrong about the resonators... It's been my test pipes making the noise the WHOLE TIMEEEEEEE!!!! FML.. So the exhaust is for sale now, nothing wrong with it, just have it sitting in my garage.
