HFC's I need a push!!!!!

Alright i spent numerous hours in search and i narrowed it down to some hfc's. The ones that are out are stillen. My choices from searching are FI, crawford, or berk. I know there are alot out there but will i be happy with these 3 if i find a good price. I really love the fi but they are expensive thats whats holding me back. I like the crawfords, i heard some vids but i know its not like real person but pretty close. Then the berk is my last choice. If anyone can give in some input from experiences or if i left out some other hfc's that are also good that dont give any rasp. That is one thing i do not want. Thx

Dude, I'm probably gonna be selling my FI HFCs like next week if your interested. You will fvcking love them.

And I know you're wondering why I'm selling. ONLY because I'm going with FI Test Pipes for the supercharger thats coming. My HFCs have about 4K on them, perfect condition.

I think some guy on here had HKS exhaust with Crawford cats and it sounded absolutely vicious. Made me want the Crawfords since I already have an HKS exhaust, but I think I am done with engine mods. Anything more than an intake, spacer, and exhaust, and the potential reliability issues and CEL quirks are not worth it for me.

my CrawfordZ are for sale in the exhaust section if you're interested

You have narrowed it down to the (imo) 3 best HFC cats available for the VQ35.

I would go with Fast Intentions, but you can't go wrong with those other 2.

P.S. Those berks are a great value.

I went with the Berk HFC only because they have the bracket on them to allow you to bolt them up to the factory transmission brace. They are the only one who have that which I believe you need IMHO.

The brace is there to keep the cats from flexing and potentially breaking. My Berk HFC were installed last year, and work awesome. Also, as an FYI Berk and FI use the exact same cat - a Magnaflow.

I was in the same position as you when I was shopping around.

after some thought I decided to spend the extra cash and get the FI HFCs, they are well worth it.

the FI might still be on sale so I would check that out.

but spend the extra money, you wont regret it.

One more thing to keep in mind is that the Berk HFC has the non-foulers built in. Less likely in throwing a SES code.

Unfortunately for the OP and me, it is no longer legal for vendors like FI to sell HFCs in California anymore as of January 1st, 2009.

^^^WTF?? Are you serious? I'm glad I already have mine then. :p

Berk and FI, I believe, use the same 300 cell Magnaflow metallic cores.
