Stillen ZTube

I searched the forum and didn't find any information on Stillen's version of the Ztube. I know that aside from the huge price difference between the OEM version, the Stillen one does not come with couplers, it's basically just a tube. Has anyone purchased one of these and if so, was there any fitment issues? Does anyone know if the OEM produces much more vs. the Stillen?

Thanks guys!

Much more what? hp? None produce more/less. It's mostly for sound and looks.

Yes, HP. thanks for chiming in.

theres no significant difference in power between the G-tube, Z-tube or Stillen Z-tube. The Z-tube just removes baffles which amplifies the induction noise. The oem intake is designed very well from the factory as it is.

Yup there's not much difference between the A tube, B tube, C tube, D tube, E tube, F tube, G tube, H tube, I tube, J tube, K tube, L tube, M tube, N tube, O tube, P tube, Q tube, R tube, S tube, T tube, U tube, V tube, W tube, X tube, Y tube And the Z tube :D

wow, too much time on your hands...LOL

utube has pron though :)

z-tube

The G-tube has baffles to calm the noise during induction versus the Z-tube with a straight tube design. I would figure there would be some HP gains with the Z-tube based on the straight forward design(minimal) but more air flow to the combustion chambers= more HP and the baffles pull from the airflow making it less efficent.

There's also the argument that having more air "stored" in the tube space is benefical to throttle response but this isnt' the time or place to get into that. It's been done.

Not enough to make any noticeable difference.

I have the stillen tube with a JWT pop charger and very satisfied with sound and response change... do what makes you happy cause people are going to knock it or like it

choose if you want the louder sound and if you care about gaining or losing very minimal amounts of hp then decide. as far as ztube vs stillen, i would just do whichever you find for cheaper.

jwt vs stillen is something you have to choose between, i chose jwt for the awesome sound and the loss people talk about an heatsoak is something i haven't noticed

i recently put on a stillen kit, all you have to do is flip the (guessing: pcv) hose on the bottom of the (Z or S) tube instead of the side like the g tube and it's cool.... i dont think it's any different hp wise but it sounds mean at 4k... i'm installing the md 5/16 on the weekend, everyone seems to recommend it as a "first buy", so i'd say since it's just 20-40 more just get that and get actual oomph vs sound.
