Custom CAI. 2 Z tube's and a Pop charger.

I'm currently running a Ztube/Pop charger and without a single doubt the car pulls harder after 4k RPMS. Nothing can change my mind about that, the RPMS climb very fast.

However I do feel the sluggishness w/ heatsoak from 1-3K rpms.

I have my full stock intake removed all the way down to the snorkel and even the plastic undergaurd that protects the bottom of the motor. It was ripped off while driving over the desert/rocks and all.. So I can see straight through the to ground from my engine bay, I think my pop charger sucks up cooler air from there.

I just had the idea of combining two Z tubes together with the pop charger on one end to make a custom OEM CAI with the higher air flow from a Pop charger.. The room definitely there so that is not an issue. I will be corking the vaccum hose/line off the bottom Z tube and have the MAF sensor in its original position.

What do you guys think?

Yes yes, I know stock is a CAI but I want to get creative.

Desert & Rocks, what the? =oP

Hey OB, with your engine shield off the pop charger is sucking up more than just cold air. You seriously need to get another one to keep your engine and all those sensors clean and operating efficiently. In winter with rain and whatever you'll have all kinds of krud sucked inside your engine compartment. Want more cold air, run a big azz scoop from inside your lower grill thru your radiator support then point the 3" hose at your pop charger. Our G35s can never get too much clean cold air!
