Anyone's intake hiss really bad?
 

I have the ztube/pop combo and have recently been getting annoyed by the hissing while below half throttle. It never use to bother me but now that its summer I drive with my windows open all the time and its really noticeable.

It's not a whooshing sound, but a really bad hiss.

Anyone else have this issue? Is it normal? I've had after market short ram intakes on my other cars and dont recall it sounding this bad.

I have an Arc intake (airbox and tube), it whistles really loudly at 2500-3000rpm. I love it. Too bad the sound is costing me like 10-15whp in hot weather. :cool:

If you don't like the sound, then just go back to the stock airbox. You get quieter sound with no whistling AND no heat soak issues.

It's bothering me because I thought it was an unnatural sound. But if it's normal.. then hell.. I'll dance to that tune all day.
