Megan V2 TP...is your check engine light on?

I just got mine installed a few days ago and today the check engine light came on....

I thought it wasn't supposed to come on with these :52:

Who has the Megan V2 Test Pipes? Is your check engine light on?

Did any of you get the non foulers? im about to order some v2's and just wondering if that would do the trick. i heard it does.

Without getting complicated, the REVUP motors are harder to fool when it comes to adding test pipes than non REVUP's.

The Megan V2's have non foulers built-in, but it is very short. An additional 90 degree non foulers may be needed. Statik sells them for around $35 but it isn't guaranteed to always work.

What type of "non-foulers" do you have? Have you tried L-shaped non foulers? Have you pulled the code to see what it actually is?

I bought them from mr.wong@ statik from the vendor marketplace and it said in the listing that it has non-foulers, i have not tried to check the code yet, is it the same thing as the check engine light?? In other words if i take my car to autozone will they be able to detect whats wrong?? Thanks for helping :)

A little off topic but.. did you have any noticeable gains with the test pipes? Also how much louder did it make your exhaust? Any rasp?

Jairen 11-24-2010 03:38 AM

Yes there is a proven gain with test pipes. The OEM cats and y-pipe are all restrictive.

Test pipes or HFC are almost a must if you decide to get a tune in the future and want full potential of a tune.

Yes the exhaust will be louder.

Rasp is going to depend on the rest of the exhaust.

there is definitely more power gain with the test pipes that are noticeable, before 3k RPM it sounds stock then anything after sounds nice and loud, rasp comes minimal only when WOT, but i like the little bit of rasp that it gives when down shifting (it kind of sounds like a BOV) which is kinda cool, but overall its probably one of the best mods i did to the car...(btw dont forget the smell of the exhaust fumes will increase but i rather like the smell cuz im a gear head :D

i just added some nonfoulers from oreilleys and drilled out the center til the sensor fit through......1 on each side....engine light never came on from that point on.

i just got the v2 test pipes for my 05 coupe and i dont want to have my cel light on after i get them installed. So the_coupe when you say you drilled yours out what do you mean? so the o2 sensor would go all the way through the oreilly non foulers? and are these the ones you got?
