i dont get it On some magazine i was reading about the myth of intakes i remember them testing a AEM cold air intake and them dyno ing like 235HP. And the stock setup was lke 224HP. And in the magazine they were talking about how cold air intakes help smooth out the air unlike short rams that are closer to the MAF WTF

was that magazine sponsored by AEM by chance? also I would have liked to test at least one cold air intake, but removing the bumper wasn't an option for the time I had.

someone made the reference to me that do you get more liquid with a short fat straw or a long curvy straw? comparing Short rams to cold airs...

That was the Import Tuner magazine and it featured Motordyne in the segment. I asked MD about the gains in the magazine concerning the huge gains with the AEM CAI and never got a response. Sounds like "sponsorship" gains to me.

Thanks for the test! Great work!

Just to clear things up, when you refer to the 'OEM Box", you are referring to the non-REVUP air box, correct?

Am I correct to assume that the testing on the various plenum mods was done with the stock air box?
Great work BTW!!!

Also any reason for no MREV+spacer runs, time I'm guessing?

plenum mods were done on the stock box with k&n. not really any point in using spacer on mrev2, I confirmed that my lower plenum mod made a little more power than the mrev2 so I stuck with it for the rest of the testing.

Great work!
Now, seeing all this expense and effort-why don't you post your paypal email and we will send you few bucks here and there to recoup your costs.
I think it is fair and we not gonna go broke by contributing $5?
