will 08 nismo hfc's fit my 05 G?
 

just wondering if nismo cats from an 08 Z will directly swap onto my 05 G and vice versa. i know the engines are different but, i just wanted to see if they would be a direct swap by any chance.

Nope two different motors. The 08 will have an HR while the 05 is still the DE

damn. i knew it was too good to be true. had the chance to swap out my oem for some nismos in a straight up trade. i knew it was too good to be true tho. i've been wanting a better flowing set of hfc's and when my friend said he'd trade but, didn't think they'd fit i had to find out. i didn't think they would but, i just had to make sure. thanks for the info. i'll go dry my tears now.

I hate to say it but it won't fit. But you can be the first to make it fit w/ extra custom parts. Maybe?

Nope they won't fit, need to get a set made for the DE motor.

+1 I still do not think they would work well even with modification... Would be better off and cheaper to just buy one made for our exact vq.

yea if i custom fitted the nismos to my de i'd have to also custom fit my stock cats on the hr lol. that's alot of welding that i don't know how to do.

It can be done only if you use the HR motors stock headers.

You guys would have to swap headers then you would be able to use the cats.

But I didnt know Nismo makes HFC.. Are you sure it isnt just regular catalytic converters of a Nismo edition Z? Because Im searching for Nismo HFC and I cant find a thing..:dunno:
