Motordyne Harakiri, ART's, XYZ... on my 06 OB Sedan
Couple weeks ago I ordered the entire Motordyne setup for my sedan. Got ART's, XYZ with resonator, and Tony actually had one of the discontinued Harakiri exhausts for the sedan still in stock, so I snagged it too. Got everything in a few days ago, only to find Tony accidentally sent me a HFC module instead of the resonator I originally ordered. This was no big deal to me really, but just to make things right I called and spoke with him saturday morning and he said to just keep the HFC, and he'll ship a resonator out to me asap at no charge. Best customer service I've ever dealt with. Bar-None. Can't say enough for Tony and his patience with me and all my phone calls and questions.
As for the install, everything went very smooth, with only one small unforseen issue of needing an 03-04 sedan muffler bracket and hangers that I'm going to have to order soon. We made one of the old unused brackets work for the time being. That being said, the ART's, XYZ, and Harakiri exhaust is nothing short of phenomenal in both looks, fit, and sound. I am extremely happy with the setup. No rasp at all, its quiet at idle, quiet at cruise on the interstate, but its definitely loud when I want it to be. I didnt take any pics as I was installing: one because I was more worried about getting it installed because I was limited on time, and two, because it got dark. Ill take some more during the day when I can get home and jack up the car to snap a few photos. http://www.flickr.com/photos/45737041@N08/8260231313/http://www.flickr.com/photos/45737041@N08/8260259597/ Heres the makeshift bracket... disregard the fact that my car is filthy and on the stock wheels (my wheels are out for powder)... http://www.flickr.com/photos/45737041@N08/8261143518/http://www.flickr.com/photos/45737041@N08/8261144544/http://www.flickr.com/photos/45737041@N08/8260077771/http://www.flickr.com/photos/45737041@N08/8260078869/ Ground clearance is greatly improved over my old Megan Racing resonated TP's and Y-pipe. http://www.flickr.com/photos/45737041@N08/8261148096/ Couple videos... Second video makes it sound like theres a bit of rasp, but its just my phone being retarded. http://www.flickr.com/photos/45737041@N08/8261189372/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/45737041@N08/8261185194/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/45737041@N08/8260269337/ |
Really nice looking setup. Makes you kinda sad to have to hide it under the car. Lol!

Most of us have known for a long time Motordyne was/and still is a great company making quality products. Had Tony had his exhaust systems available when I bought my HKS system I would have bought his. Best way to show how an systems sounds is record it on the street going thru the gears. Sounds good/Enjoy!

^-- Do you mean "IS a great company" instead of "was".
BTW, that third video sounds very raspy, but overall that exhaust looks very clean! Almost sounds like a TDX exhaust. |
Beautiful exhaust

sounds amazing

Tony's the man for sure. Like the sound but not digging the look, that's why I got a MD VQ. ;)

Only 2 more sedan Harakiri's Y-backs left in stock. When they are gone, they're gone.
Get your's before there are no more. |

And the last one just sold too :)
Another member off our Facebook page, Marvin, picked it up. |
By any chance does MD still have the dual Harakiri exhausts for the coupes?
|
Not sure, you'd have to call tony and ask to see what he has still in stock.
