motordyne y-pipe options

i was looking at this

http://www.customcarscentral.com/mtd...nPMhoCUMrw_wcB

i have 3 options, to get a high flow catalytic converter with the Y-pipe, or a resonator or a straight pipe.

i dont really know the difference between the 3. can someone explain what they do and if i need them or not ? also does that y-pipe fit in with the rest of my stock exhaust ? its a g35 06(or 05) coupe

i want to see a picture of a stock exhaust so i know what parts go where exactly. google images is a mess of aftermarket pictures. i want to get more informations/knowledge about what im looking at.

if you are running stock exhaust you are much better off just getting the hr-y pipe. the gains you would be seeing from the xyz would be comprable to the hr-y. not to mention you will be saving a few hundy.
