Bad smell

Hey guys, so I have a question. I have a 2007 g35 coupe. I’m having a small problem right now. When I floor the car or just drive it high in the rpms, it starts smelling bad inside the car. If you go outside, you can really smell it. It’s embarrassing and I want to get it fixed. It last for a couple minutes and goes away but still. I want to get your guys opinions on what it could be and how much it would cost to fix. How much parts and how much labor. Thanks guys

Sounds like an exhaust leak, is your car stock or have you modified the exhaust system? Get the car up in the air and inspect the exhaust system from the engine bay back and see if something looks out of place or if you can hear any unusual hissing sounds for a possible leak.

Yea I had a shop cut off muffler and resonator. Straight piped from the cats back. But the thing is this has happened before I got that done. Could it be the catalytic converter? My friend told me it could be that.

Or an exhaust leak after. Rip your eardrums.

If it smells like rotten eggs then your catalytic converters are about to die.
