I'm thinking of trading my coupe midpipe for an 05 sedan pipe...

Hey all,

I drive an 03.5 sedan. Not long after I got it I put a coupe midpipe on based on feedback from the forum. I like it, but I don't.

Basically, it is too loud driving around town for me. As some have mentioned and others have poo pooed, I get what I consider to be too much drone at 1500 to 2200 rpms under load (20-45 mph, up hills, in traffic, etc...).

I love the way it sounds when I hit the gas. But I drive customers and co-workers around a lot. I'm 37, in sales to CxO level folks and the noise just makes me feel unprofessional sometimes.

After reading a few threads it seems that the 05/06 sedan midpipe might be a good compromise. I don't want the huge, sound muffling midpipe that came with the 03. And the 05 seems to be louder but not as loud.

Stock 05 cars have a much deeper, FX kind of sound. Would I get that with the 05 middy? That is really what I am shooting for.

If so, anyone want an 04 coupe midpipe with about 25k miles on it as a trade for an 05/06 midpipe in the IL/IN area? hehe.
