Removing window tint - advice?

I did a search to try and find advice on removing window tint but the best I got was running into a flame war between FRAICHE and GeeWilliker. Anyway got my tints last sunday, got my ticket last night (friday). So i want to get them removed today. I called the tint shop and they said $25 to remove them, after I spent $220 getting them done not 5 days ago.

I know I shouldnt be bitching because it is my own fault, but anyway I was wondering how to remove them myself. apparently according to the tint guy if I dont do it right i could ruin the weather seals on my car. OH NO I BETTER GO HAVE IT DONE BY THEM THEN!

Anyway is there a step by step way in doing this? Peel it back, spray with soapy water, use a blade to scrape it off?

Thanks

they are legal in the back, i am just taking off the fronts... then yes later i will put them back up again. I know its against the law in Ca, but what makes those in Nevada, or Texas so much better that it is legal there? I should have had it registered there then I wouldnt need to worry!
