How much does it cost to have it painted? Does anyone know? I know Hero had it done( i believe atleast). Is it that expensive? I do like the idea of how i can just take this off and be back to the normal color though.

it'll cost ~300, but it's worth every penny.

the only problem i foresee is all the potential air pockets. they're going to be a PITA to get out, IMO.

hey for $67 (+installation costs) compared to $300, getting this products isnt such a bad idea. the luxury to remove it any time u please is another good factor.

something that could last you upto 5 yrs as hero said, i dont think its a bad investment at all! cant wait to see some pics, ryan =)

Good points . I think $67 is a great price. Its a good alternative to painting, esp if you're not sure you want your roof black in the long run. As far as vinyl goes, I use a 7 year rated vinyl, there are 3 and 5 year rated as well, but I use the premium stuff . Heck, I get emails from people who'ver sprted my stuff for 4-5 years now, telling me how well their Overlays have held up .

As far as a one piece goes, I can afford the industrial size vinyls, these cost alot and require one to buy in bulk. This is just a hobby for me. I think most ofg you wont mind the seam.

I'll have some pre install pics up tomorrow on this thread .

I wax my overlays once in a while, really brings out the shine in them . Dont apply too much pressure when buffing .

I purposely made it a tad longer where they meet, to be sure its long enough where the 2 pieces meet . I will make a revision on length as soon as Ryan lets me know how much overlap there is. I'll have prefit pics up later tonight. No official pics will be posted until I am happy with the end results .
