g35 to g37 conversion
hey you guys i wanted to post this up because although the g37 is very nice from the front, i hate the rear. I was wondering and just throwing this idea out to anyone who has the money to do so, is a g35 with a g37 front end conversion. i think the the sleek front with the sharp rear would look nice. id make a photoshop version of it but i don't have the time yet because of finals. but yeah,my friend thinks that the stuff should almost bolt right up like the fenders and lights with some work.
other than that, you have seen pics of the new gtr, and i love that front bumper, i heard that a bumper similar to that exist for the g. is it true? too bad we couldnt do the new gtr conversion to our g's....for now.DOMO
Also my hood is faded like crazy in certain spots, at night it looks great, but now i just want to take the thing off. i was going to take it out somewhere it add some speed holes using a gun, but i was thinking of selling it or just keeping it for whatever.does anybody know how to fix it? tried waxing, buffing, haven't wet sanded yet, but don't know anything about clear coats.

if you buy that GTR front for the G i will teabag you... why turn the G into something its not...?-beebo
turning it into something that looks better than my 05 stock front bumper with chips, gashes and bug guts? thats a good reason.
i mean our g is still the skyline, just not the skyline that everyone has come to know it for but my post was just about changing something cosmetically. like the top secret 350z/180sx/g35.
But of course not trying to make it anything near ricey. keeping everything almost stock looking.
Calvin thanks for that pic, that bumper looks awesome and it does exist, now i know.
and g35 meister, thanks for the tip. I heard that when you get a CF hood you have to wax it 5 times or so before it hits the sun and its the wax that does it. Thats what most people told me but heating up under it and causing the resin to turn, that i havent heard yet. But a shop would sand it and/or candy coat paint it for me for $200 but i just dont think its worth it, its from somebody i dont even know who. so yeah, it actually weighs more than the stock hood. believe it! im not kidding.
oh and whats OBs coupe?

Wolf in sheep's clothing..?
When I saw the title of this thread I thought someone was considering an engine swap (3.7 in place of the 3.5)... and that held my interest. Hmmm, an apparent G35 coupe with a big secret... How about a twin turbo 3.7..? 'Bet that'd be a bit of a sleeper, especially in a lighter base model 6MT (without all the premium stuff - I understand there's a considerable weight savings)... Oh well, dreaming is free...

from what it looks like under the g37 hood theres no more room for anything else. it has two intake thingamajiggers, is that the reason besides .2 extra liters that would give it 330hp?
how much hp total would it be with a jwt popcharger and kinetix plenum only? no exhaust? that would be aroun 320 right? 315 maybe?
but ironmike i guess this thread could be anything about g35 conversions, i just wanted to see if it would possible or if somebody mixed a g37
(or new gtr front) with the g35 rear.

btw - have you weighed your carbon fiber hood? interested in the weight of it for evidence that it's not much lighter than the stock hood. thanks.

but hmmm what about whp?
but this one is a knock off for sure, you can tell just by lifting it, its probably 40lbs maybe, i might be over exagerating it but thats what it feels like when your lifting it, maybe 30lbs, but i have no scale to weight it on but definitely the stock is lighter as you can see i require no hood pins to keep it on.
Does anybody drift their G? just asking
