I didnt know Vis made that style. I hear the quality is questionable though and I dont want to buy another overpriced crap hood.

it is currently overpriced... I'd be hard pressed to pay half of that.

I called them and they dont have any installed photos since it's a new product.

I've seen sh*tty vis quality first hand... but I've got my fingers crossed on this one... I need to see it in person.

that's because real good quality CF cost $$ and people willing to pay that is very few...the Authentic TS hood for instance is perfect but most went to replica for the look. That will drive good quality CF makers out of business due to low volume sales.

If someone wants one of those VIS hoods we can get them for $1100 shipped. Crazy price, I know but ViS MSRP is $1300 !

Why do I doubt that? When judging CF it's not just the look or fitments, it's the weave uniformity, direction, finish, gloss and integrity. I've seen multiple cases of Seibon cracking just from installs or even shipping. I don't think it's overstating to say that Top Secret is at least better than that.

The TS hood wont crack b/c its so flimsy that it will bend and deform from just being on the hood prop for a couple hours. The weave is terrible in the corners and around edges and the CF is so flexible that painting the hood almost impossible b/c the damn paint cracks afterwards just from how much the damn thing moves around. Not to mention the huge flat spot the hood developed from the engine heat after it had been on the car for about 45min. The hood latch rusted over while it was being stored in my house. They put so little resin and UV coatings on it that you can actually feel the texture of the weave.

Oh and when I contacted TS USA about some of these problems they said I was on my own. They also wouldn't cover a cracked diffuser that I got from them b/c the guy that was helping me was no longer there and they didn't have the information anymore.

I would never buy another CF product from TopSecret ever again, even if it was half price. The fiberglass stuff they make is downright awsome but everything is

Sorry had to rant a little.

It was right at $1700 shipped. I dont know many other people that get the authentic one and the ones that do dont post much. Even if i just got stuff from a bad production run or something the way it was handled was just stupid.

My Seibon OEM CF hood has hundreds of cracks on it. Most are small but noticeable in aggregate. Some are quite large especially around the edges. I would NEVER BUY A SEIBON HOOD again.
