Flickering interior lights when headlights set to auto

During the last couple of weeks, when my headlights are set to auto, and I drive in to any halflight situation (wooded area, multilevel parking lot, etc.), my interior lights flicker on and off. Is there some sensor that's going bad here? This does not happen at night. Any ideas?

what might be happening is that ur outdoor sensor that turns on ur headlights and dims ur interior lights might be going back and forth and cant make a decision whether it is dark enough to turn on ur headlights and dim ur interior lights or not. So maybe thats why that is happening.

It happens to me too whenever i go underbridges or whatever.

Thanks for your input. I thought it might be something like that, but it didn't do it before which leads me to think there's something going wrong. Could you point me in the direction of that sensor (where's it located)? Is it replaceable?

i have to find out myself where that sensor is, i think it is somewhere around the windshield wiper area. check your manual
