Tint Price Fair?

This reputable tint place quoted me $499 to do all windows and rear windshield for ceramic tint. Tint maker is either Lumar air bubble 80 or Suntex CXP. I have no experience with tint so I don't know if that's a normal price for ceramic high quality tint?

HOLY F@CKING ****!!!!!! $499?? jesus Christ I never heard of a price so outrageous. I thought the place near me quoting me $220 was out of this world. Screw that man don't pay that. Keep looking around there is definitely someone else out there with a fair price.

WAY to much...A good shop will charge you 200-250 at most

edit: lumar is good, Im not familiar with ceramic tint but I would take some time and google what makes it so special. The tint you want to look for is the type that has somewhat of a green shade from the inside. Its very subtle, nothing obvious. Cheap tints usually fade and turn purple.

Its all about what materials the tint is manufactured from.

No no no man! That is just ridiculous. There's a few very reputable shops around my KC area that would do it for no more than 200-225 for a sedan. I don't know anything about ceramic tint, been out of the car game wayy to long, but I would research it. No way is it more than $200 in materials alone. I knew a mobile guy that did very very good work, even outside in a dirty environment, for cheap.

it's definitely a lot pay for but not out of the ordinary, I know shops that charge around and over that price. It all depends on the quality of the tint and the quality of their work.

~$400 is normal for ceramic from a reputable shop.. it probably has lifetime warranty anyways.
~$499.. they better include front windshield too.

As others have said, DO NOT DO IT. I paid $250 for mine and that was removing all the old tint, retinting with 15 all the way around and then 30 on the windshield.

I would have asked the guy if I had STUPID written on my forehead! 3M tint will last longer than you'll own the car and shouldn't cost over $200. Find a new tint shop....Gary
