Water leak!

Hello I just bought a 2003 G35 Coupe Sport and it’s leaking water when it rains. The passenger side is damp but the backseat passenger side is completely filled with water. I check the rubber hose that’s under the carpet passenger side and it wasn’t broken I put some silicone around it just Incase. Where should I look next. Haven’t had the ac on either.

^^^

A garage for when it rains.

Sixteen year old vehicles will need all seals replaced

Mines 16 years old and seals are b e a u t i f u l.
I'd go to the car wash, pick the lock to the room that houses all the equipment and add some dye to the soap dispenser then wash away.

Take off the interior panels and headliner so you can see where the water is leaking in from. Anything else is just speculation.

I had the same issue but on the passenger's side. Found out that my leak came from the rubber grommet that holds the wiring (harness). Popped the hood, removed some trim and saw that the grommet wasn't seated at all. I also found some holes where newer wiring was installed. I applied silicone adhesive sealant and shoved some pliable gray foam (from Home Depot) into the space above the trim. Haven't seen any leaks after that. Note that this leak caused my AC computer (motor) to short which had to be replaced. Also kept the plastic trim off to keep it from collecting water/condensation. Will plan on doing a better (additional) seal in the near future. On a side note, we just dodged a big Super Typhoon last weekend and with all the wind and downpour, no leaks. Hope this helps. :JAMIN::driving:
